EXPERIENCE
Aubree Kleinschmidt has experience supporting youth and families with behavioral, developmental, and emotional challenges. She began her career as a Treatment Interventionalist, where she worked with youth ages 6–18 through both individualized and group-based interventions. Her focus included emotional regulation, resilience, social development, and crisis intervention. Aubree also completed a Level II Fieldwork placement with Marshfield Clinic, where she provided in-home services, conducted environmental assessments, and implemented treatment interventions tailored to each client’s needs. In both settings, she collaborated closely with families and treatment teams to ensure holistic and effective care.
EDUCATION
Aubree earned her Associate of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Northwood Technical College in 2023 and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She has completed specialized trainings in Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Precautions, Verbal Crisis Prevention & Intervention, the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) Model, HIPAA compliance, and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Her education and training provide her with both a strong academic foundation and hands-on experience in evidence-based, trauma-informed care.
SPECIALTY AREAS
Aubree’s areas of specialty include coping skills development, emotional regulation strategies, mindfulness practices, stress management, and family dynamics. She also provides psychoeducation around communication, and resilience-building for both individuals and families. Aubree tailors her approach to meet the needs of children, teens, and adults, helping clients strengthen their relationships, improve self-esteem, and build practical tools for everyday challenges.
WHY THE MENTAL HEALTH FIELD?
Aubree entered the mental health field because of her passion for empowering others to discover their strengths and build skills that support independence and well-being. She believes in meeting clients where they are in their journey and creating safe, supportive spaces for growth. For Aubree, the most rewarding part of this work is walking alongside youth and families as they develop the confidence and strategies needed to thrive.
