EDUCATION:
Carrie holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Human Performance, as well as a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marquette University.

EXPERIENCE:
Carrie has a background as a Rehabilitation Technician in an outpatient clinic, where she provided care to individuals of all ages within the community. Her experience in the field has provided her with a solid foundation in understanding and supporting the needs of diverse populations.

SPECIALITY AREAS:
Carrie works with individuals across all age groups, from children to adults. She is dedicated to creating a safe and empathetic space for those who have experienced trauma, offering the support needed for healing. Carrie uses a variety of tools and strategies to help clients manage symptoms, improve mental well-being, and cope with life stressors. Her approach also focuses on enhancing relationships and helping clients build stronger connections.  Carrie incorporates a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to tailor her methods to each client's unique needs. 

WHY THE MENTAL HEALTH FIELD?
Carrie's passion for psychology dates back to her undergraduate years, where she took more psychology courses than required. Her journey into the mental health field took a pivotal turn during the pandemic while she was working in a hospital setting. It was there that she witnessed firsthand the impact of mental health struggles and the immense need for connection. The experience deepened her understanding of the mental health crisis and inspired her to transition into clinical mental health counseling. Carrie is now dedicated to improving access to mental health services and providing support to those in need.

PERSONAL:
When she's not working, Carrie enjoys spending time outdoors—whether it's reading, enjoying lake days, or hiking with her husband and puppy. She has a love for reality TV competition shows and is a self-proclaimed pasta enthusiast.

AVAILABILITY:
Carrie offers services in-office, in-home, in schools, or within the community Monday through Thursday. Carrie has limited daytime availability for adolescents, families, couples, and adults.
