EXPERIENCE

Rhett is a Service Array Provider at RTS. He is deeply committed to providing compassionate care that’s tailored to the unique needs of each child. Throughout his career, Rhett has volunteered and worked in athletic and coaching environments, where he focused on fostering learning, teaching conflict resolution skills, and empowering youth to become independent and confident. Rhett's experience as a camp counselor in a summer treatment program for children with ADHD and ODD, combined with his volunteer work, shapes his holistic approach.

EDUCATION

Rhett holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Iowa State University

SPECIALTY AREAS

Rhett provides individualized skills work to children and teens through our ISDE program, focusing on areas like stress management, life transitions, self-esteem, and executive functioning. Rhett uses a variety of approaches to help children reach their goals, including mindfulness, social-emotional learning curriculums, and positive behavioral interventions. He aims to create a safe, supportive space for children to explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. His experience as a camp counselor in a summer treatment program for children with ADHD and ODD, combined with his volunteer work, shapes his holistic approach. Rhett enjoys incorporating art, play, and physical activity to make learning engaging and impactful.

WHY THE MENTAL HEALTH FIELD?

Rhett entered the mental health field driven by a deep passion for supporting children in reaching their goals and improving their overall well-being. With a commitment to making a positive impact, he is dedicated to providing the tools and guidance children need to navigate challenges and thrive.

PERSONAL

Outside of work, Rhett enjoys hiking, trying new things, and indulging in crime documentaries. He cherishes time spent with his dog, Scarlett, and has a soft spot for cats as well.
