Taylor Hand

Graduate Therapy Intern - Under the clinical supervision of Kimberly Randall

EXPERIENCE

Taylor brings several years of diverse and hands-on experience working with children and families across educational and learning environments. Her background includes roles as an early childhood educator, classroom teacher, long-term substitute, and learning coach, where she supported students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

Through her work, Taylor developed a strong ability to connect with children, adolescents, and adults helping them navigate challenges, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. She has collaborated closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each child receives well-rounded, individualized support. Taylor values a wraparound approach, working alongside caregivers, schools, and other providers to create a cohesive and consistent support system that promotes lasting success. She is especially skilled at creating safe, structured, and supportive environments where clients feel understood and encouraged to grow.

EDUCATION & LICENSURE

Taylor is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Wisconsin–Stout, a CACREP-accredited program. She is completing her graduate internship under the supervision of Kimberly Randall and is actively providing mental health therapy services.

Taylor is TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) certified and is committed to ongoing professional development. She continues to grow her clinical skills daily and is dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based care.

SPECIALTY AREAS

Taylor specializes in working with all ages, utilizing a trauma-informed approach and TF-CBT interventions to support emotional regulation and the development of healthy coping skills. She helps clients navigate school-related stress and life transitions while building confidence, resilience, and self-awareness. Taylor values a wraparound approach, collaborating closely with families and other providers to ensure consistent, well-rounded support. She takes a warm, strengths-based approach to therapy, creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves. By meeting clients where they are, she helps them develop practical coping strategies, strengthen emotional awareness, and gain confidence in navigating life’s challenges.

WHY THE MENTAL HEALTH FIELD?
Taylor’s passion for mental health counseling grew from her experience in education, where she recognized a significant need for emotional and behavioral support among students. While helping children and families access resources, she developed a strong interest in understanding brain development and therapeutic interventions that promote healing and long-term growth. This passion continues to drive her work today.

Outside of her work, Taylor enjoys reading, camping, painting, going for walks, catching up on TV shows, and spending quality time with friends and family.
