EXPERIENCE 

Tammy has been a dedicated Service Array Provider at RTS for over three years, working with children, teens, and adults. Her background as a licensed educator, combined with her experience in faith-based treatment, allows her to offer compassionate, tailored support to individuals of all ages. Tammy's career in education spans various roles assisting her in gaining a rich understanding of diverse educational settings. Back in her hometown of Rice Lake, Tammy is excited to continue serving the community that helped raise her. 

EDUCATION

Tammy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Communication Arts & Literature, as well as a minor in Biblical Studies, from North Central University in Minnesota. 

SPECIALTY AREAS 

At RTS Tammy works with wide variety of age groups through the Individual Skill Development Enhancement and Parent aide programs. Tammy’s work at RTS has allowed her to support each client's unique needs. She integrates her skills in education with her passion for faith-based approaches, providing a holistic treatment model that emphasizes emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Whether working with children using resources like "Little Spot of Feelings," or with adults through the "Boundaries" curriculum, Tammy is committed to helping clients establish healthy coping mechanisms and develop emotional resilience.

WHY THE MENTAL HEALTH FIELD? 

Tammy’s journey to becoming a mental health professional was shaped by her own personal experiences with anxiety. Having struggled with mental health challenges herself, she understands the importance of support and compassion in overcoming obstacles. After transitioning from a career in teaching, Tammy chose to pursue a path dedicated to helping others navigate their own mental health journeys. With a deep belief that everyone deserves happiness, she is committed to offering guidance, understanding, and the tools needed to foster emotional well-being.  

PERSONAL 

Beyond her professional work, Tammy enjoys spending time with her large extended family, including her niece and nephews, and looks forward to participating in bi-annual cousin trips. Tammy also enjoys reading, and spending time outdoors in her free time.

Tammy provides services in office, in-home, in schools, or within the community, Monday through Friday.
